Tamper evident closure assembly
A tamper evident closure structured for attachment to a connector of a medical device including an end cap, and a tip cap disposed within the end cap in an operative position. Tamper evident cap assembly
A tamper evident cap assembly includes an outer cap having an outer cap end wall and an outer cap skirt, and an inner cap having an inner cap end wall and an inner cap skirt. The inner cap skirt has a thread on an inner surface for selectively fastening the cap assembly on a portion of a container. The thread has separations therein. The first and second vertical ratchet teeth of the outer cap and the inner cap, respectively, abut when the outer cap is turned in an application direction to rotate the inner cap and the outer cap together to fasten the inner cap onto the container. When a downward force is applied on the outer cap, the second end teeth on the inner cap engage with the first end teeth on the outer cap applying torque on the outer cap in the removal direction turning the inner cap to release the cap assembly from the container and rupture the tamper evident band.

Method of utilizing a tamper evident tag
A method of associating a tamper evident tag with an article is provided. The method includes the steps of providing the tamper evident tag with first and second layers laminated to each other and inserting a fastener through the article at a user selected location thereof. Drugs need more care in their packaging than do most other products. Now a day’s other than protection, presentation, identification, information and convenience; packaging must be tamper evident, equally for primary and secondary packages. Tamper evident packaging having an indicator or barrier to entry which, if breached or missing, can reasonably be expected to provide visual or audible evidence to consumer that tampering has occurred. After the Tylenol tragedy more emphasis has been given on control of tampering with different acts and regulation for the packaging. Different technological approaches are discussed in this work used to make product tamper evident. Also the smart packaging technology introduced with color changing polymer, gas sensing dyes, bar coding discussed in the book.With covert and overt technology, tamper evident packaging provides secure against counterfeiting attempts. But to reduce risk of tampering the importance of consumer education and GMP is also emphasized in the book. With conclusion at the end, growing packaging demand in future, all pharmaceuticals needs to be tamper evident and of great concern.

A graphite oxide (GO)-based remote readable tamper evident seal
This paper presents a prototype of a remotely readable graphite oxide (GO) paper-based tamper evident seal. The proposed device combines the tunable electrical properties offered by reduced graphite oxide (RGO) with a compressive sampling scheme. The benefit of using RGO as a tamper evident seal material is the sensitivity of its electrical properties to the common mechanisms adopted to defeat tamper-evident seals. RGO's electrical properties vary upon local stress or cracks induced by mechanical action (e.g., produced by shimming or lifting attacks). Further, modification of the seal's electrical properties can result from the incidence of other defeat mechanisms, such as temperature changes, solvent treatment and steam application. The electrical tunability of RGO enables the engraving of a circuit on the area of the tamper evident seal intended to be exposed to malicious attacks. The operation of the tamper evident seal, as well as its remote communication functionality, is supervised by a microcontroller unit (MCU). The MCU uses the RGO-engraved circuitry to physically implement a compressive sampling acquisition procedure. The compressive sampling scheme provides the seal with self-authentication and self-state-of-health awareness capabilities. The prototype shows potential for use in low-power, embedded, remote-operation non-proliferation security related applications.

Hardware Based Detection, Recovery, and Tamper Evident Concept to Protect from Control Flow Violations in Embedded Processing
The ubiquitous presence of embedded devices coupled with their low processing power and finite energy creates unique challenges in the security of embedded systems. Software attacks targeted at maliciously modifying the control flow of an executing embedded program negatively affect real-time response. Hardware-based control flow violation detectors have been researched and tested, but still lack the means to recover from control flow attacks and provide meaningful data for post cyber-incident analysis. Proposed is a hardware-based system on a chip (SoC) concept to protect low-end embedded processors from control flow attacks. The concept provides an end-to-end protection combination of detection, response, recovery, and tamper evident techniques against control flow violations in the presence of interrupts, real-time operating systems, and exceptional functions. The implemented detection portion of the solution shows promise to detect most CRAs on low-end embedded systems without added cycle latency at the cost of increased area.

A closure (10,30) attachable to a container having an opening. The closure (10,30) comprising a top portion (11) and a skirt portion (12) depending from the top portion (11). A tamper evident band (13,33) is joined to the skirt portion (12) by one or more frangible connectors (14,34). Enhanced Cooperative Tamper Evident Agent Based Anomaly Intrusion Detection in Ad Hoc Networks
In recent years with increasing number of wireless devices Ad Hoc Networks become a vital technology. But these networks are highly vulnerable to attacks due to several reasons such as changing topology, open medium and lack of centralized monitoring. Current intrusion detection systems are based on either rule based or behavior model. The efficiency of such IDS is based on how accurate they identify the attacks. In clustering a cluster head is selected as coordinator for performing transmissions in both inter and intra cluster environment. There are many models for choosing a cluster head in Ad Hoc environment. However if the cluster head itself is a compromised node then the cluster head can launch attacks without being detected since its IDS is already malfunctioned. In this paper we propose an “Enhanced Cooperative Tamper Evident Agent Based Anomaly Intrusion Detection System”, which helps in identifying the attacks more accurately even if cluster head is compromised.

This requirement is reduced at Physical Security Level 2 to a bleeding paint or etch-resistant coating.
