We believe in a future where every secondary school student has access to develop leadership and digital skills. Our goal is to equip students in Secondary Schools in Nigeria and Africa with quality leadership education and the future of work skills training to support their personal and professional development. We are fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria as the FASHIONED AND MADE FOR EXCELLENCE FOUNDATION (CAC/IT/NO125339) and we are based in Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria. We educate and equip students to lead with empathy, take on real-life opportunities and challenges in the classroom, careers, and the community. We achieve this through the use of practical life and leadership skills using images, activities, relatable stories and experiences. Our facilitators are skilled in working with secondary school students, emerging leaders and have experience working with schools like yours. Most are also graduates of certified leadership programs with extensive experience as mentors. Our flagship programs are the Fame Global Leadership Program, Fame Club Program, Fame Lead Day, and our Mentoring Support Services. We have trained over 13,000 students in 4 years. Mostly from low-income families spread across over 100 schools and 40 communities via our leadership programs. Given our strong volunteer-driven model, we currently have over 200 active citizens who provide volunteer support to us as Facilitators, Mentors, Advisors and Content Contributors. We have been recognized by Ideation Hub Africa, Ashoka and the Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Association Nigeria. Research has shown that starting early and engaging parents in their child’s education is positively associated with a child’s academic, social and emotional well-being. That is why Family Connections has evolved into a family learning community in which underserved children and parents attend programs together, learn together and grow together, from birth into Kindergarten and beyond. Our programs and services are free so that all underserved families in our community, regardless of their circumstances, can participate. Our parent participation preschools provide enriching early learning experiences for birth-to-five year olds, resulting in children who arrive at kindergarten academically and socially ready to learn. After preschool, our Young Scholars program sustains positive family dynamics and learning opportunities for kindergarten and beyond so that participating students and their families have the tools and resources to become the drivers of their own success and leaders in their extended communities. Throughout the years, our parent leadership education and holistic family support systems help parents confidently and successfully embrace their role as their child’s first teacher, most influential role model and best advocate. Located in San Mateo County, Family Connections has been supporting Peninsula families since 1993. We currently operate in East Menlo Park and Redwood City, serving approximately 600 individuals per year.

The Doerr Institute for New Leaders is a large-scale and globally recognized leader development enterprise at Rice University. The mission of the Institute is to elevate the leadership capacity of Rice students across the university and to improve the practice of leadership education and development in higher education. Because the path to leadership is different for everyone, so is the leadership training you’ll find at the Institute. Our objective is to connect students with the awareness and tools that will help them find, sharpen, and grow their true leadership potential. We’ve moved away from prescriptive, one-size-fits-all leadership training approaches, instead offering individualized guidance from certified coaches and professional leader developers. Beyond Rice, the Doerr Institute offers support to other higher education institutions eager to develop the leaders our society needs. This includes published and unpublished research, instruments, program specifications, measurement techniques, and a lean and effective business model that is powerfully developmental and about half the cost of classroom instruction.
Mannaz provides innovative business thinking and services in the areas of organisational development, leadership development, talent development and change management to empower leaders with the capabilities required to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. By stimulating change within an organisation, newly-inspired leaders can encourage all employees to work together to help an organisation reach its full potential. With a “people-first” emphasis, Mannaz offers three interconnected resources for creative business solutions: consulting and leadership education. The goal of each is to develop greater human potential so business leaders can overcome challenges today and develop opportunities for tomorrow. No other organisation takes this three-tiered approach. By helping companies solve issues from within its own ranks, Mannaz also maintains the stability of greatly-valued personnel. With roots in Scandinavia, but with global reach and understanding, the Mannaz model for success is network-oriented. It promotes the development of people by building, empowering and trusting their confidence and abilities through delegation. Scandinavian leadership principles have become a hallmark of progressive management thinking worldwide. Open and collaborative, it has repeatedly proven that people achieve more when they feel valued, engaged and motivated. The meaning of the word Mannaz highlights our people-centric ethos. It is both Old Norse for “human being” and the name of the ancient Nordic rune letter that symbolises “people.” Not only does the English word “man” originate from Mannaz, but it is one of the oldest and most authentic renderings for the notion of human. The Mannaz logo is intentionally handwritten to underscore the focal point of our business – the unique human being.

The Inner Activist is a leadership education program that is part of a global movement rooted in social justice, equity, self-awareness and our place in nature. Our comprehensive curriculum integrates traditional leadership tools from seven innovative approaches. We then go beyond these approaches to facilitate the unpredictable, powerful learning that happens in community when we work on our own diversity and conflicts in moment-to-moment relationships. We provide change makers new tools to transform intractable problems, deeply value diversity in all its forms and lead with authenticity and compassion. The Inner Activist is a project on Tides Canada's shared platform. To learn more about our three retreat-style courses hosted on Gabriola Island, British Columbia, or to register for webinars and special events please visit www.inneractivist.com
