There has been emerging demand for secure system that must be reliable and fast responded for the industries and company. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is one of the reliable and fast means of identifying any material object The RFID device must be scanned to retrieve the identifying information. On other hand, college student attendance management of class plays an important position in the work of management of college student, this can help to urge student to class on time, improve learning efficiency, increase learning grade, and thus entirely improve the education level of the school. In this system, RFID is used to change the way of the attendance to be recorded. The graphic user interface and database also included in this system. The objectives of the project are to increase management efficiency of student data and stored properly in database. Other than that, the objectives are to develop a system that is easy to applied and used at any places example like class and event. User only needs to scan their RFID tag near the RFID antenna and the attendance will automatically recorded in the database that has been created. This system will help to reduce the time of taking the attendance. The system provides the functionalities of the overall system such as displaying live ID tags transactions, registering ID, deleting ID, recording attendance and other minor functions. This interface was installed in the host computer. The web-based is to provide an online web that will provide all the information and utilities of the laboratory such as group timetable, calendar, lab sheet download and others needed. This paper presents a system that come with web portal for student and staff.

Basic approaches to computer lab management range along a spectrum from total lockdown of lab computers to total freedom. Total lockdown, which can be implemented with system permissions and policies as well as software such as FoolProof and OnGuard, usually means that the computers' storage devices, especially the hard drives, are restricted, preventing write access by lab users (temporary drive space is sometimes available). Lab users are not allowed to install programs or save files and need to go through official channels to have their programs installed. This approach is intended to minimize support issues, protect software licenses and protect the institution from unauthorized software use. The total freedom approach allows users to use the lab computer as if it were their own. The lab manager then uses a tool such as PC-Rdist, Ghost, or Assimilator to return the computer to a clean state. This can be done at regular intervals (once a day, once a week etc.), at every startup, or on an as-needed basis. In some cases, users themselves can refresh a lab computer. This approach is intended to allow students flexibility and unlimited access to the computer. Drawbacks include inconsistent computers in the labs (especially between rebuilds) and increased network usage during the rebuilding procedure. This panel will discuss both approaches from technical as well as managerial perspectives. Panelists will represent approaches ranging across the spectrum of management strategies between lockdown and freedom. The panel discussion should be helpful for attendees who support computer labs or provide desktop support.

Academic departments teaching information technology are faced with competing pressures, resources are limited, but student and curricular needs are seemingly "unlimited". Computing labs exemplify this contention. Resources in terms of physical space, computer equipment, and support staff are limited. However the demands on and expectations of academic computing labs are high and ever changing. Topics covered will include how the labs are designed to support different levels of curriculum: introductory undergraduate courses, upper-level undergraduate courses, graduate courses, and graduate work. Lab management details in terms of equipment, software, hardware, and procedures will also be discussed.

Managing computer labs on any campus can be exhausting and time-consuming. However, it has been the experience of the Louisiana State University Office of Computing Services Labs Management Group that the strategic task of running a large network of public access computer labs and general access computer classrooms becomes much smoother when efficient and effective management tools are put to use. This paper details the steps that OCS Labs Management took to create a web-based solution with the goal of streamlining the many routine lab-related procedures. The OCS Lab Management Database consists of several components that are employed in the management of over 10 public access labs and 7 general access computer classrooms, totaling more than 800 PC's and 65 student workers on the LSU campus. Head counts, student worker progress reports, documentation solutions, site evaluations, and student worker training, such as streaming video tutorials are some of the features included in the web-based solution. The database also provides lab management with the capability of tracking PC hardware and software problems as well as ordering of parts and maintenance, and wireless PDA integration enables lab management to easily access the database while visiting locations across campus. Lab management, student workers, faculty and students all benefit from this innovative web-based lab management tool.

The authors designed a system called opening lab management system(OLMS).The architecture,functions,database designing and methods for controlling equipments of the system were introduced.

This paper describes how a generic computer laboratory equipped with 52 workstations is set up for teaching IT-related courses and other general purpose usage. The authors have successfully constructed a lab management system based on decentralised, client-side software virtualisation technology using Linux and free software tools from VMware that fulfils the requirements of fast "switch over" time between consecutive lab sessions, the ability to support a wide range of IT courses and usage scenarios, low cost, easy maintenance, and a sandboxed environment for potentially disruptive IT security lab exercises. Sufficient implementation details are provided so that readers can build a similar lab management system. The objective is to share ideas and experiences that may be useful for lab administrators in academic institutions facing the same requirements and budgetary constraints.

Along with the computer has become increasingly widespread, the public computer lab undertake more and more tasks. Some problems in traditional computer lab management become highlighted. This paper proposes a public computer lab management system consists four functional parts. The proposed system provides a convenient and efficient way for the teachers and students to communicate and improves the management level of public computer lab. This system is of great significance for the new situation of laboratory management. In troduction With the development of computer technology, more and more industries have been using computers for research and production. Now most of the domestic computer experiment teaching is not only established for the computer science students for professional education, but also carried out basic computer education to other majors. Obviously, different professions students need to learn and use a variety of software. The content of public computer lab management includes a computer lab environment and safety, behavior and rules of the users, network maintenance, update of software and hardware and the use of multimedia software. Though theres a large number of computers in the lab, the vast majority of students are of different majors, which make the management of a public computer lab extremely hard. As mentioned above, it is of great significant to design a public computer lab management system for science and effective management. The rest of this paper is organized as follows. The second part of this paper analysis the requirement and design rules of the target public computer laboratory management system. In the third section, the design principles and basic ideas are presented. Then the detailed design method and steps are proposed in the next section. At the last section, the whole system is comprehensively analyzed and summarized.

This paper presents an innovative computer lab management tools to improvise traditional computer lab management. This is due to a few issues such as security, operation management and managerial decision support have to be faced by most of the computer lab management. The factors such as lack of access control and inadequate security have caused a significant direct loss. Therefore, this research prompted to develop a Window-based computer monitoring system, ComTrack, that can force user to login with the registered user id such as student id or staff number before they can use the computer. These interactive systems also have a capability to trigger the lab owner when there is any issue reported by users. Thus, it is essential for laboratory management to have absolute user login, logout and the issue reported details for each of the computer they are handled. The design and implementation of this application is discussed in this paper.

In order to promote the informatization process of laboratory management and experiment teaching, a Lab Management Information System based on B/S and C/S structure was designed and implemented. The system built distributed network lab management mode. A network experiment course selective system was implemented, and lab automatic management was actualized by using fingerprint machine and card reader.
