Hiring Now: A Skill-Aware Multi-Attention Model for Job Posting Generation
Writing a good job posting is a critical step in the recruiting process, but the task is often more difficult than many people think. It is challenging to specify the level of education, experience, relevant skills per the company information and job description. To this end, we propose a novel task of Job Posting Generation (JPG) which is cast as a conditional text generation problem to generate job requirements according to the job descriptions. To deal with this task, we devise a data-driven global Skill-Aware Multi-Attention generation model, named SAMA. Specifically, to model the complex mapping relationships between input and output, we design a hierarchical decoder that we first label the job description with multiple skills, then we generate a complete text guided by the skill labels. At the same time, to exploit the prior knowledge about the skills, we further construct a skill knowledge graph to capture the global prior knowledge of skills and refine the generated results. The proposed approach is evaluated on real-world job posting data. Experimental results clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Field Experiments and Job Posting Sources: The Consequences of Job Database Selection for Estimates of Racial Discrimination
Field experiments have proliferated throughout the social sciences and have become a mainstay for identifying racial discrimination during the hiring process. To date, field experiments of labor market discrimination have generally drawn their sample of job postings from limited sources, often from a single major online job posting website. While providing a large pool of job postings across labor markets, this narrow sampling procedure leaves open questions about the generalizability of the findings from field experiments of racial discrimination in the extant literature. In this paper, we present evidence from a field experiment examining racial discrimination in the hiring process that draws its sample from two sources: (1) a national online job posting website that aligns with previous research, and (2) a job aggregator service that scrapes the web daily in an effort to obtain all online job postings in the United States. While differing in the types of information they collect, we find the job postings drawn from the two sources result in similar estimates of discrimination against Black applicants. In other words, we do not find evidence that racial discrimination varies by the source of the job posting. We conclude by discussing the implications of these findings for studies of racial discrimination, discrimination along other axes of social difference, as well as field-experimental methods more broadly.

Work Preferences in Rural Health Job Posting Among Medical Interns in a Lower Middle-Income Country— a Discrete Choice Experiment
Introduction: Timely empirical evidence is important in the success of health systems, and such evidence is necessary for informed policy making to address inequity in the health workforce. Literature is ripe with incentives that affect recruitment and retention of physicians in rural and remote areas, but such data in still lacking in the Philippine setting. Discrete choice experiment is one methodology utilized by the World Health Organization which provides both qualitative and quantitative information to aid policy makers in health human resource management. Methods: The study utilized a discrete choice experiment involving three phases: 1) identification of incentives and levels using key informant interviews and focus group discussions, 2) selection of scenarios utilizing an experimental design, and 3) administration of survey based on WHO guidelines. Conditional logistic regression, point estimates, and correlational analyses were done using Stata. Results: There is significant association between type of background and considerations for rural practice among the respondents based on Pearson’s correlation (p < 0.01). The respondents put more value into non-wage rural job posting incentives than small to modest base salary increases. The high willingness to pay for the presence of supervision, relative location of work areas from families, and status of workplace infrastructure/equipment or supplies suggest the importance of workplace conditions to attract rural health physicians. Combinations of wage and non-wage incentives may be necessary to provide for the most cost-efficient increases in rural job post uptake rates based on post-estimate calculations. Conclusion: Philippine medical interns and young doctors value non-wage incentives in considering rural health job postings. Rural health job postings with these incentives are predicted to significantly increase recruitment in rural health job posts, particularly when combinations of wage and high-impact non-wage incentives are considered.

Classification of Genuinity in Job Posting Using Machine Learning
Abstract: To avoid fraudulent Job postings on the internet, we target to minimize the number of such frauds through the Machine Learning approach to predict the chances of a job being fake so that the candidate can stay alert and make informed decisions if required. The model will use NLP to analyze the sentiments and pattern in the job posting and TF-IDF vectorizer for feature extraction. In this model, we are going to use Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE) to balance the data and for classification, we used Random Forest to predict output with high accuracy, even for the large dataset it runs efficiently, and it enhances the accuracy of the model and prevents the overfitting issue. The final model will take in any relevant job posting data and produce a result determining whether the job is real or fake. EXCLUSION SPOTTER: APPLYING ADVANCES IN AI TO IDENTIFY AGEISM IN ONLINE JOB POSTING
Abstract The landscape in which employers and candidates interact is changing as more job adverts are pushed online. Employment platforms (e.g., Indeed and LinkedIn) are now among the primary mechanisms for job posting, job search, and initial negotiations. Through such job platforms, a single job advert can now reach millions of people around the world. This exposure of a job advert has obvious benefits for the employer, but this exposure also has the power to alienate and exclude large portions of society. In particular, the word choice of a single job advert can, perhaps unintentionally, exclude thousands of people by their personal traits (e.g., gender or race). Age is a particular trait that garners more attention as ageism is often cited in the literature as going overlooked, not understood, and generally escaping social awareness. To begin tackling this problem, with the purpose of supporting older adults and enabling their contribution to society, we applied advances in AI to create a tool, called Exclusion Spotter, that gives feedback to recruiters and employers on which words in their advert are possibly excluding people by age. We applied Exclusion Spotter to 3660 job adverts, clustered by 372 job titles. We found a significant difference (p=.02) in the number of age-related words for engineering related positions versus all other job titles. Among 47 engineering related titles we matched 47.37 age related words per title and 2.8 per advert. Among the other 325 titles we matched 24.37 age related words per title and 2.1 per advert.

Is Working from Home Here to Stay? Evidence from Job Posting Data after the COVID-19 Shock
We examine the transition to and persistence of working from home (WFH) by firms after the COVID-19 shock. Using job posting data from a leading online job portal in China and exploiting the COVID-19 pandemic as a quasi-experiment inducing the short-run WFH take-up of firms, we find a substantial and persistent increase in the share of WFH jobs post COVID-19. The WFH share increase in job posting is larger in firms with lower pre-COVIDWFH adoption, consistent with the learning effect from temporary shutdown policies. Firms with greater potential for remote work, measured by the teleworkability index à la Dingel & Neiman (2020), also experience larger increase in WFH job postings. Given that WFH jobs provide higher salaries and have higher educational requirements, our findings suggest that WFH is here to stay and thus have long-term implications on firm productivity and labor market inequality.

JCTC: A Large Job posting Corpus for Text Classification
The absence of an appropriate text classification corpus makes the massive amount of online job information unusable for labor market analysis. This paper presents JCTC, a large job posting corpus for text classification. In JCTC construction framework, a formal specification issued by the Chinese central government is chosen as the classification standard. The unsupervised learning (WE-cos), supervised learning algorithm (SVM) and human judgements are all used in the construction process. JCTC has 102581 online job postings distributed in 465 categories. The method proposed here can not only ameliorate the high demands on people's skill and knowledge, but reduce the subjective influences as well. Besides, the method is not limited in Chinese. We benchmark five state-of-the-art deep learning approaches on JCTC providing baseline results for future studies. JCTC might be the first job posting corpus for text classification and the largest one in Chinese. With the help of JCTC, related organizations are able to monitor, analyze and predict the labor market in a comprehensive, accurate and timely manner.
